About this site
BrainInjuryTherapists.com is a directory. It lists 1,595 therapists in the US, UK and Australia who include traumatic brain injury among their areas of focus.
Who it is for
It is for adults who live with the emotional side of a brain injury. It is also for partners, parents, children, friends and carers.
A brain injury can bring big changes. Work, money, friendships and roles at home may shift. Feelings such as sadness, worry, frustration or grief are common. Talking with someone can help some people make sense of these changes.
What therapy is, and is not
Therapy is talking support. It is a space to explore feelings, relationships and day-to-day life.
Therapy listed here is not medical care, neurological treatment or brain injury rehabilitation. It does not replace your doctor, specialist or rehabilitation team. It is not an emergency service. If you are in danger now, contact your local emergency number.
Where the profiles come from
Profiles are based on information supplied by BetterHelp, an online therapy platform. Each profile shows the focus areas, approaches, experience and languages that the therapist lists. Credentials and wording follow the country each therapist works in.
We are independent. We do not employ the therapists and we do not recommend one over another. When you follow a link to BetterHelp from a profile or topic page, we will earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
